Champions Turnersville was founded by Sensei Nick Dougherty in
August of 2000. It was first located in Echo Plaza, in Turnersville.
In 2005, Sensei Nick built the current 150 Fries Mill location. For
over 8 years Champions has been the leading school in the community.
It has been the school of choice by the public school systems in
the community.
Champions has taught programs, and done demonstrations at Wedgewood,
Bunker Hill, Hurfeville, Clayton Simmons, Mullen, Lilly, Birches,
Chesnutt Ridge, Orchard Valley, Kids net learning Center, Kinder
Care, Tall Pines Day Camp, Chester brook, The Malvern school, the
wedgewood women's club, St. Mary's and other schools in the area.
Champions has done FREE Kidnapping Prevention Seminar's, Free
Bully proofing seminar's, Free Women's self defense seminars in
conjunction with the Washington Twp police department, and is the
area leader for Children's Birthday Parties, having over 10 parties
per month on average because of the great staff and positive
atmosphere.
Champions will be offering new programs starting in January, that
will again take the school to another level. Programs include more
Brazilian Jui Jitsu classes, more kickboxing classes, the new
Champions Way of Life National Karate Team for students who are
interested in training with world Champion coach Sensei Nick. Sensei
Nick has trained numerous world champion competitors including,
Megan Schmidt, Gianna Esposito, and Leah Corbett. In addition he has
trained numerous Amateur world Champions. Sensei Nick has extensive
training in sport karate, Wu-Shu, weapons, point fighting,
continuous fighting, jui jitsu, , muay thai and currently is working
with Ace Ramirez, Bobby Gardner on the Champions MMA Fight League.
